The new wood processing shed at the 4 acre site at our Nutts corner facility was completed at the end of may giving Mckinstry's the oppurtunity to provide our clients with a better grade of wood chip.
We have clients in the south of ireland who take wood chip for recycled wood products, and in the uk and sweden who use the wood chip as fuel.
Storaenso our client in sweden uses our wood chip to fuel their power plant, the leading biomaterials firm that produces a variety of pulp grades used to make paper, board and tissue products. Made from renewable resources in a sustainable manner, the raw product has many different uses that include specialised paper for the newspaper industry back in the uk and more specifically for local publication. The paper thus produced then makes its way back to local papers and will therefore see the recycling project come full circle.
